Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all coaching services provided by Wendy Marie Vergoz (Entreprise Individuelle, SIRET: 933 218 893 00016), operating at www.wendymarievergoz.com. By booking a session or package, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Wendy Marie Vergoz offers creative writing coaching services including the following:

  • The Coaching Hour — a 60-minute session (€120) or 90-minute extended session (€180) for conversation, process support, light feedback, and direction.
  • The Bird’s-Eye Session — a 60-minute session (€180) or 90-minute extended session (€240) offering big-picture perspective on a small batch of submitted work.
  • The Deep Dive: A Close-Reading Session — a 60-minute session (€225) or 90-minute extended session (€300) providing line-level and structural close reading.
  • Four-Week Close-Reading Series — four 60-minute weekly sessions (€900 total) with close reading of submitted work each week.
  • Chapbook and Book-Length Mentorships — priced by quote, depending on manuscript length and depth of work agreed upon.
  • In-person poetry workshops in Aix-en-Provence — pricing as listed at time of booking.

Sessions may be held online (video call) or in person in Aix-en-Provence, France, as agreed at booking. The coach reserves the right to adjust service descriptions over time; the terms applicable are those in effect at the time of booking.

2. Booking and Payment

All bookings are made through the website or via Calendly. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are listed in euros (EUR). International clients may see an equivalent amount in their local currency at checkout; the euro amount is the binding price.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing payment, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Single sessions (The Coaching Hour, Bird’s-Eye Session, Deep Dive):

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session: full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session: no refund. The session may be rescheduled once at the coach’s discretion.

Four-Week Close-Reading Series and Chapbook/Book-Length Mentorships:

  • Cancellation before the second session: 50% refund of the total amount paid.
  • Cancellation after the second session has taken place: no refund.

In-person workshops: cancellation policy will be stated at the time of booking for each event. Generally, cancellations more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund.

Refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Submit work for review (where applicable) at least 48 hours before the scheduled session.
  • Attend sessions punctually. Sessions that begin late due to the client’s delay will end at the originally scheduled time.
  • Engage respectfully and in good faith.

The coaching relationship is collaborative and creative. It does not constitute therapy, counselling, or psychological support.

5. Intellectual Property

All written work submitted by the client remains the sole intellectual property of the client. Wendy Marie Vergoz will not share, publish, or reproduce client work without explicit written consent.

All materials created by Wendy Marie Vergoz and shared with clients (written feedback, editorial letters, notes) are for the client’s personal use only and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

6. Confidentiality

All client work and personal information shared during sessions is treated as strictly confidential. Details of sessions will not be shared with third parties without the client’s consent, except where required by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

Wendy Marie Vergoz provides coaching services in good faith but cannot guarantee specific creative outcomes. The coach’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. Wendy Marie Vergoz is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the coaching relationship.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Aix-en-Provence, France.

9. Changes to These Terms

Wendy Marie Vergoz reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on the website with an updated date. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
